Get off auto and learn how to shoot portraits, working with a professional model...
What you need to bring: You don't need to bring anything, although you may want to bring:
1 - Notepad & Pen
2 - appropriate clothing for being outdoors for up to an hour.
3 - Your own DSLR or Bridge camera, please do not bring a point and click camera.
What this session will cover: In this 3 hour session the first hour we will cover the DSLR camera's buttons, menus and functions, mainly focusing on Shutter Speed, Aperture & ISO so that you can begin to shoot the style of image that you like, rather than the camera being on Auto and making these choices for you. We will then be joined by a model, and go out onto the streets as a group, each taking turns to work with him/her, while at the same time continuing to be able to ask questions ad gain further info. We will then return to The Engine Room for the final hour and look at some basic editing of your photos in either Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop.
What you'll learn: You'll learn about framing & composition, working with natural/available light, how to get your photos sharp & in focus, how to work with a model as a subject and understand better what your camera is doing at all times.
