  • Wellington School Cricket Field South Street Wellington, Somerset TA21 8NT United Kingdom (map)

Free | Pre-booking required | Cert PG

The Sunday afternoon picnic musical on the Wellington School playing field is The Greatest Showman, starring Hugh Jackman and telling the story of P T Barnum who created and ran the world’s most famous circus. Orphaned, penniless, but ambitious and with a mind crammed with imagination and fresh ideas, the American entertainer, Phineas Taylor Barnum, will always be remembered as the man with the gift to blur the line between reality and fiction. He began his showbiz career with a wax museum; however, he soon shifted focus to the unique and the peculiar, introducing extraordinary, never-seen-before live acts on the circus stage. Some critics labelled Barnum’s rich collection of oddities a tasteless freak show but Phineas pressed on, gambled everything and achieved respectability and success.

Free but pre-booking is required. You must book one ticket per family member as attendee numbers are strictly limited.

Please note that only blue badge parking is available on site.

The film contains some scenes of mild threat and violence may scare very young children.
