Jon Stay, aka If Life Gives You Lumens, is a local resident and projection mapping artist and a key member of the Film Festival committee. It was Jon’s idea to use the Lloyds Bank building as a backdrop for last year’s stunning  video mapping with a Hollywood theme – each window a mini cinema screen.

As word spread about the dazzling free outdoor spectacle, scores of people gathered each evening on the pavement opposite the bank to enjoy the show.

This year’s project will be projected on to the frontage of the United Reform Church on Fore Street. The theme of the new work is a fusion of generative AI animation and tribal geometric patterns exploring the concept of animism – the belief that objects, places, and creatures all possess a distinct spiritual essence

This year sees a new addition to the visual element with a soundscape, designed especially for the event by audio artist, ZZBing, aka Sean Crollman which will be sequenced and choreographed to the images and video.
