Based on a true story of friendship between a paralysed millionaire confined to a wheelchair and his street smart ex-con caretaker UNTOUCHABLE depicts an unlikely camaraderie rooted in honesty, kindness and humour between two individuals who, on the surface, would seem to have nothing in common.
After he becomes a quadriplegic from a paragliding accident Philippe, widower and aristocrat, hires Driss, a young man from the projects to be his caregiver. Out of a mixture of snobbery and concern Philippe’s friends and family are both concerned and appalled by the new situation.
Filmed on location in Paris and with a string of international awards behind it, UNTOUCHABLE is a film that will genuinely make you laugh and cry in the same 109 minutes.
