Creative Network with James Holcombe

Our guest speaker for March is James Holcombe, he makes films and performances colliding his knowledge of celluloid and it's coming into being, with a healthy disregard for the means by which it does so. Most recently he has found this a useful prism through which to view English public executions, as well as the development and failure of American sound on film technology. James runs the experimental DIY film laboratory in Frome.
Attendees will be able to get involved with 16mm experimental film production activity.
Reserve you seat or Watch our previous Creative Networks online.

Event | Creative Network with Caroline Vitzthum
In the last of three Creative Network events with Caroline Vitzthum we will focus on the outcomes of this year’s Ignite Somerset Artist in Residence programme.
Our conversation will chart the journey taken by the artist in the production of her video installation ‘Endling’*, currently on show at The Engine Room in Bridgwater. We will focus on themes that emerged throughout the process and discuss the creative potential of digital media within the artist’s practice.
*An endling describes the last known individual of a lineage, species, or subspecies. Once the endling dies, the species or lineage becomes extinct.
