We are now accepting applications for our next BFI Film Academy Short Course. Apply by 11pm on Monday 6th October 2025.

BFI Film Academy offers opportunities to get to know more about film and how to forge a career in the screen industry. As a student on the Film Academy short course, you’ll gain hands-on filmmaking experience, working alongside industry professionals to develop practical knowledge and skills. On the seven day course, you’ll get to make two short films, watch films, receive career signposting, with the option to work towards a nationally recognised Arts Award qualification!. Read more.

Dates: Saturday 18th, Saturday 25th, Tuesday 28th, Wednesday 29th, Thursday 30th, Friday 31st October and Saturday 8th November.
