On this one-day workshop, you’ll work together to make a short documentary film about the Brick and Tile Museum. You’ll develop and plan what to document, get hands on with cameras and microphones, and look at the editing software available. Plus, we’ll signpost you to resources to help further your filmmaking quest.

This is a free screening for primary school pupils as part of the national Into Film Festival.
When a faithful police dog and his human police officer owner are injured together on the job, a wacky but life-saving surgery fuses the two of them together and Dog Man is born.

Commissioned by Somerset Art Works and South West Heritage Trust, this evocative film immerses audiences in the sensory world of sheep farming and fleece preparation, telling stories of tradition, care, and connection to the land.

Submission Deadline | Short Film Commission 2025
Are you aged under 25 and live in Somerset?
We are commissioning a young filmmaker to produce an original short film!
Pitch your idea to be made into a short film, this must be a narrative fiction piece i.e. comedy or drama (not documentary). By ‘short’ we mean a maximum of five minutes*. It is free to submit your ideas and you can submit more than one.
