Join us for our next Short Film Night to appreciate a stunning variety of six locally produced films. We are delighted to be screening two award-winning films from this year’s Frome International Film Festival. Please note: our studio’s seating is limited and seats must be reserved online to guarantee your place.
The films include:
Fathom - In this stunning short film, an unemployed scuba diver desperate for work, must convince a burnt out recruiter to hire her for a dangerous WW2 wreck diving job to salvage pre-atomic steel for geiger counters.
Last Gasp - A gripping drama, starring David Suchet, that highlights the global scandal of gas flaring. In 2024 gas flaring released the equivalent of 389 million tonnes of CO2 into our atmosphere.
Guardians of the Forest - This breath-taking film quietly follows a wildlife photographer's remarkable journey through the sub-arctic Boreal Forest of Finland, as he photographs wolves and brown bears in their natural habitat.
School Days - A delightfully playful, hand-coloured animation of a pupil’s surreal journey from a classroom to a school's subterranean world.
Together - An evocative, animated musical created by adults with learning differences from The Hub in Yeovil. A deeply inspiring film that explores their emotions, dreams, and everyday lives.
Huntsman - Set the morning after New Year’s Eve, a boy tries to salvage his relationship with the girl he’s seeing, but we discover that the truth is far more complicated. Filmed on the Quantocks by two of Somerset Film’s BFI Alumni, Huntsman recently featured in British Cinematographer magazine.
