Want to learn the basics of film editing?

This half-day practical workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of editing and give you the skills and confidence to start putting your own films and videos together.

We’ll explore the basic principles of film editing, including importing and organising footage, making cuts, arranging clips on a timeline, adding music and sound, and creating a simple finished sequence.

You’ll also be introduced to a range of editing software, from accessible options through to more advanced professional software. The workshop will combine demonstrations with practical exercises, giving you the opportunity to try out some basic editing techniques for yourself.

No previous experience is required. All equipment is provided.
